Throughout my 10-year tuition, I have had lovely learners, and have been captivated by the adventure of always revealing contemporary methods of approaching a topic to make it exciting and cool for the student I am sitting with.
The way I teach
My mentor approach is student-focused: my aim is always to make an encouraging, stimulating and pleasant environment for learning to do well.
I react dynamically to the requirements of each person I mentor, building my teaching manner in the way that it best serves their persona and skill sets.
I also think that learners understand better as they're doing exersises associated with their education. This denotes making rhymes, student presentations, drawing pictures, writing tasks, using games, and other formats of interaction, that makes learners energised and inflamed relating to the theme.
I teach efficiently and effectively, easily figuring out spots for upgrading, next applying simple pattern spotting methodologies (if appropriate). I concentrate on generating easy activities for the scholar generate their private understanding of the question. It is a true joy to uncover interesting and new methods of delivering the theme for it to be interesting and always fresh for the student and for me.
The psychology of tutoring maths
Through patience, humour, and encouragement, I continually strive to teach my children that they are capable of much more than they think.
I strongly believe that my desire to switch teaching strategies according to the desires of learners, subject matter, and person demographics are all vital for me to be excellent as a tutor.
I base my teaching on the view that the sole way to uncover maths is to do mathematics. Although the theoretical material is valuable, the true understanding comes through solving mathematical problems, either theoretical, computational, or both.
I have also found that giving tasks which directly relate to the student's individual life can help with their studying the theme and understanding its usage.
